I don’t get a lot of comment spam if you just look at the numbers but it does make up over 99.9% of comments so I find it extremely tedious.
This page here has a lot interesting techniques for reducing spam and is worth a read.
I will be developing some additional code to integrate into my website to maybe automate some of the blocking and filtering routines. It will include my rickrolling option but will probably just be a modification to the core PHP code. Basically I am fed up of editing my .htaccess to block repeat spammers so want to automate it some more.
Should have the basic stuff up and running in a day or two other duties allowing.
